Q: When ECG is normal why is ECHO done for a patient with hypertension and diabetes?

A:Echocardiography (ECHO) is an imaging technique which shows the functioning of heart muscle, its valves and several other parameters which ECG does not show. Diabetics and hypertensives can have subtle abnormalities in presence of a normal ECG.
