Q: I am 20 years old. It has been one year now since my periods stopped. I am very worried. What can I do to make them re-start? I have consulted a doctor but she said it is not a matter of concern. But I feel that something is wrong? Please help.
A:It is somewhat unusual to have cessation of periods at the age of 20. Have you recently lost a lot of weight? Are you an avid runner? These can make you not have a period. If none of these things have happened, and you suddenly stopped having periods, then it needs to be investigated.
