Q: I am 28 years old and have had a hernia operation. After this I checked for my sperm and it was found to be thinner as compared to earlier. It isn’t as thick. What should I do?

A:"Thickness" and "thinness" of semen (which you are referring to as sperm) to a naked eye has no meaning. Consistency of the semen can keep varying. So far the sperm count, their motility, appearance etc. is within normal limits, there is nothing to worry. To put your mind to rest, please get a semen analysis done. Make sure you don't masturbate or have sex for 4-5 days before your semen analysis. Also, make sure that the semen sample is examined by the Lab within one hour of collection.
