Q: I have a small kidney and would like to bring it back to normal size. I am 25 years old getting treatment since 2 years but I don’t know what all I should eat? I am taking tablet Amlong A (for high blood pressure), Alfacip 0.25, Losanorm 50, Autrin and calcimx.

A:You have a small kidney and hypertension. You may have been born with a small kidney (dysplastic kidney) or the kidney may have developed pyelonephritis in early childhood. There is no method or drug by, which one can get back small shrunken kidney, usually an irreversible process. You should continue your BP medicines and keep your BP, <130/80 mm Hg.
