Why do I feel hungry so frequently?
Q: My diet is too much. I become hungry after one or two hours. I can't leave one time food. What is the treatment for this so that I can avoid dieting? My brother is also suffering from the same problem. But he is not growing healthwise. He eats normal diet but does not look like a healthy man. He is 23 years old and his height is only 4 feet 11 inches. He is physically weak.
A:Firstly, you have not mentioned what and how much do you eat whenever you feel hungry. Eating small and frequent meals is always better than eating larger meals at a time. Every three to three and a half hours, you can go for some fruits or salads instead of having cereal based snacks like biscuits, wafers etc. Eating a high fibre diet would give you a feeling of satiety and you won't feel hungry so frequently. Also it is good for health and maintains your bowel. Keep yourself involved in some activity so that food doesn't linger on in your mind. You can probably follow a menu of this kind:Early morning: Tea and two BiscuitsBreakfast: Either 1 sandwich or 1 serving of poha or upma or two idlis and a glass of milk or a cup of tea and 1 fruit.Mid morning: A glass of juice or soupLunch: Chapati + dal + vegetable + salad + curdEvening: Tea + 2 biscuitsDinner: Same as lunchBed Time: A glass of milk + 1 fruitI hope this will help you.Again you have not mentioned the diet of your brother. Please do mention his diets and other habits in detail, then we hope to help him better. At this age, even a good diet would not help increase his height. Although with some exercises and proper modification in his diet weakness can be overcome.
