Q: I am 41 years old. I am hypertensive and take tablets for high blood pressure, which is normal now. Recently I did a fasting blood sugar test and it was normal. I feel very cold in the palms of my hand and bottom of my legs. My Doctors says it is sympathetic. Why do I feel like this?

A:It seems that you are hypertensive and taking medicines for blood pressure. You have complaints that you feel in your palms and bottom of legs which has been explain by your doctor as a sympathetic reaction. This could be also due to anti hypertensive medicines which you are taking. Beta Blockers are known to aggravate these symptoms. You kindly contact your treating cardiologist he will advise you regarding change of medicines if required.
