Why are my wife's eyes yellow?

Q: My 25 years old wife has yellow eyes. What is the reason for yellowness of eyes?

A:Yellowness is the discoloration of conjunctiva, and may be it is just the light brown discoloration, which many people may have. Sometimes, it is due to long standing allergy in the eye. If it is of recent origin, it could be Jaundice too. Please consult an eye specialist.
