Q: I am a 39 years old experiencing burning sensation in the eyes. My eyes are red and yellow in colour. I occasionally get severe headache. I do not use spectacles and face no problem while reading. Though I do not drink, I chew tobacco. What are the probable causes and remedy for my problem?
A:Chewing tobacco can cause redness and yellowness of your eyes. Only other reason could be dry eyes, which means you are not producing enough tears in your eyes to lubricate them. In spite of this, eyes may water excessively on exposure to wind or bright lights. This also causes tired eyes feeling, gritty uncomfortable feeling and photophobia. Tobacco also has too many side effects - one of them is impotence as well.
