Why am I not able to ejaculate?

Q: I am 36 years old and married. We have a good normal sexual life, but the problem is that I am not able to ejaculate during intercourse. Initially, we thought it was good to avoid having a baby, but now we want to plan a family. I am able to get good erection, but no ejaculation. How can I get rid of this problem?

A:You may be suffering from what is known as retrograde ejaculation (that is instead of coming out, the semen is discharged backwards - into the urinary bladder). This needs surgical correction. I suggest that you consult a urologist at the earliest.
