Q: I am a 29 years old woman married for 3 years. I am trying to conceive for the past 1 year, but could not succeed. My husband and I consulted doctors and underwent various blood tests, hysterosalpingogram (HSG) cycle and my husband also had his semen analysis test done. All the reports were normal but still there is no success. Can you suggest what could be missing?

A:If the tubes, your husbands' semen and your menstrual cycles are all normal, then you need to plan ovulation stimulation to increase your fertility and the number of eggs released in the cycle along with artificial insemination (IUI) to maximise the sperm concentration at the fertilisation site. Four to six such cycles should be successful with regard to conception.
