Q: I have itching below the testis. Please tell me the reason and prescribe treatment.
A:Itching just below testicles is likely to be due to lichen simplex chronicus. Other causes are itch due to underlying diabetes, psoriasis, or some other dermatological disorder. If it is due to lichen simplex chronicus, then topical steroids are used alone or in combination with an antifungal agent. Oral antihistamine at night also helps along with. Consult your dermatologist before resorting to any form of therapy.
