Which vaccines should I take while travelling to rural areas?

Q: I have to travel a lot in rural areas. Which vaccines should I take to prevent myself from any illnesses? Are they safe and how regularly do I need to take these?

A:Since you are working in rural area you may take the following vaccines:a) Typhim Vi one shot - Immunity lasts for three years.b) Tetanus toxoid - 3 shots (now, after 4 weeks and 6 months). You should drink only boiled or mineral water to prevent diarrhoea. Do not walk bare footed in the fields.
