Which is the better - Shan or Easy five?

Q: We have given a dose of Shan five vaccine to our 10 months old daughter. But another doctor advised that Easy five is a better option and asking us to change to Easy five. What is the difference between the two? Which of the two vaccines do you recommend?

A:Both are the same type of vaccine designed to provide protection against five diseases (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, hepatitis B and Haemophilus influenzae) but manufactured by different pharmaceutical companies. It would be cleaner to use the same brand to complete the immunization schedule for this vaccine.
