Which is a good blood pressure monitoring device?

Q: I am suffering from acute blood pressure problem. I have visited my doctor but my blood pressure does not seem to come down. My children are suggesting me to buy a blood pressure monitor. But I don't know which type of BP monitor to buy, of which company should I get a good product in the range of Rs. 3500-5000. My current BP is between 220-180. Please advise me.

A:I think you should see your doctor for an effective BP control. It should be kept below 140/85 mm Hg. Regarding BP apparatus it is better to buy a BP machine which your doctor uses. It could be a mercury one or else an aneroid one. Your doctor can teach you how to record BP. Most electronic machines are unreliable.
