Which fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamin K?


Q: My friend underwent a heart surgery for Mitral Restenosis. The doctor has given him vitamin K and advised him to avoid vegetables containing vitamin K. Kindly advise which vegetables he can take.

A:Vitamin K is found in green leafy vegetables and some fruits. It may also be found in dairy products, meats and eggs. Broccoli, cauliflower and spinach are the vegetables rich in vitamin K.
