Q: My child is four and a half years old. Is a DPT inoculation of 0.5 ml adequate as a booster dose?
A:The recommended age for the second DPT booster is around 5 years. However, the 0.5 ml dose that you have given at four and half years could be enough for the second booster if the primary DPT immunization (6, 10 and 14 weeks of age) and first DPT booster (15-18 months age) have been given at the appropriate ages.
