What should I do to get out of depression?

Q: I am a 26 years old female. I have recently completed my MBBS but could not secure admission to the post-graduate (PG) course. Due to this, I have gone into depression. I am taking Flouxitin for it. Now I am OK. But I can't tolerate if anyone makes fun of me. I cannot even concentrate on my studies. Please advise.

A:There are fewer seats for PG courses as compared to the number of graduates passing out as doctors from the medical colleges. Again, it is a lot of luck combined with lot of systematic organised preparation that makes one get a PG seat. Frustration and depression leads one to lose concentration, interest and has a rebound effect on the preparation for the PG exam. What is required is a plan - a plan to prepare, a group or another friend with whom you can discuss and a lot of hope and a lot of energy to work out things. Life has to move on - let it move on with hope and interest and renewed energy and vigour. Keep trying. Success will not be far away.
