Q: I am a new mother and have a 2 months and 9 days old baby girl. At 2 months she was given Infanrix vaccine, a combination vaccine. Can she be given Prevenar at 2.5 months? She is scheduled to have her Infanrix vaccine again at 3 months. Is the 2 weeks interval between two scheduled immunisations safe for my baby? Will it depress her immune response due to the short intervals between the vaccinations?
A:There should be a minimum gap of 4 weeks between two different types of vaccines or both should be given together.
