Q: I am a 23 years old boy and had a hernioplasty for inguinal hernia and correction of retractile testis. What precautions should I take? I have an incision of about 3 inches on the groin area and a small incision with two sutures in the scrotum bag. Do I need to wear a bag for support?
A:Avoid lifting heavy weights for 6 months after the operation. Get yourself examined once again after about 1 month of operation or earlier if there is any pain, discharge or swelling at the operation site. Scrotal support should be worn for about 2 weeks after the operation.
