Q: I am a 54 years old male. My creatinine reads 148. The doctor says its a bit too high. Please advise on the medication and diet I need to follow.
A:The serum creatinine can't be 148 mg/dl. It could be either 1.48 mg/dl or 14.8 mg/dl. Both these indicate different levels of kidney function. You need to clarify before I advise further.
