What is the treatment for undescended testes in children?

Dr Anurag Krishna

Q: I have twin boys, one of them does not have both the testes from birth. He is 7 years old now. What treatment should be taken and from what age? Right now he is normal like his twin brother and, infact, an inch taller.

A:Your child needs to be seen by a paediatric surgeon at the earliest. For undescended testes, which your child seems to have, surgery is normally prescribed anytime between 1-2 years of age.
