Q: I have a high blood pressure problem (145/95 mmHg). I am 33 years old and weigh 73 kg. I exercise daily. What should I do?
A:You appear to have mild hypertension. However this must be confirmed by several readings say once in 2 weeks.You must first try simple methods of BP control after a full check up which should include full biochemical tests, ECG, X-ray chest.These measures are
- Diet should be low in salt & fat. Your weight is O.K.
- Regular exercise - walk an hour daily
