Q: My 27 years old lecturer friend had been suffering from frequent cough since 3 months. The reasons for the dry cough are not known. Moreover, he gets more cough while teaching. What could be the reason for frequent coughing? What is its treatment?
A:There may be a few reasons for his cough: (especially during a lecture)
- Chalk allergy.
- Not drinking enough water and so speaking on dry throat.
- Allergy to air blast.
- Faulty vocal hygiene, like changing voice while speaking.
- Allergy to dust.
- Allergy to temperature changes.
- Allergy to perfumes, etc.
