What is the reason for death after TB treatment?

Q: My husband and his brother suffered from severe headaches a month after TB treatment and later died of meningitis although they had been declared cured of TB. What are the possible causes?

A:It is difficult to hypothesise the cause of the deaths. Have you tried asking the treating doctor regarding the cause of death? The possibilities include a relapse of TB with meningitis, or a pyogenic/aseptic/fungal meningitis.
