Q: I am a 24 years old boy suffering from slipped disc and the right side of my chest, joints of the right leg and right hand pain a lot. Moreover, if I work continuously for the whole day, I have to take rest for about 2-3 or more days. How can I get rid of this problem? I got to know about nerve root injections. How do I take these injections? Moreover, if I go for surgery, will I be able to work like earlier?

A:Nerve root injection have a success rate of 60%. The effect is temporary and can be repeated 3 times in a year. While surgery is done in a minimally invasive fashion using a keyhole. After 6 months of surgery you can do whatever you please.
