What is the effect of growing age on the facial bones?

Q: I am a 19 years old male. I wanted to know whether the facial bones of a male become longer and broader as age progresses? Are there any other changes in the face structure as age increases?

A:Facial bone structure usually consolidates around the age of 18 years. We, therefore, like to undertake facial surgery after the age of 18 years. In some rare and exceptional cases, the facial bone structure may consolidate marginally. However, the facial contour may increase after 18 years if the person puts on weight. This may make a person look more mature.
