Q: My friend has been diagnosed with motor neuropathy as per his latest NCV/EMG report. Is this a case of motor neuron disease? What is the difference between motor neuropathy and motor neuron disease?

A:Motor neuropathy is a disease of the peripheral motor nerves while motor neuron disease is a disorder of the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain.
