Q: I am a 31 years old male underwent testicular biopsy test. Microscopic sections from the testicular tissue show marked atrophy and hyalinisation of seminiferous tubules. Only a few tubules were seen with some primitive spermatogonic cells. No spermatid seen. Stroma shows increase in fibrosis and some lymphocytic cell infiltration. Histopathological diagnosis - marked atrophic changes, with no evidence of spermatogenesis. What does my testicular biopsy test mean?
A:Testicular biopsy is the most definitive way of determining the spermatogenesis. In the absence of sperm formation in the testis, the possibility of fertility is nil.
