Q: I am 11 weeks pregnant. When I went for a check up with the gynaecologist, he said that the uterus size was bigger than expected. What is the significance?

A:You did not tell me whether this is your first pregnancy or do you have other children. Many factors can contribute to the size of the uterus, multiparity is one of them. Other possibilities are fibroids, twin pregnancy, or other uterine/fetal conditions. Please follow up with your gynaecologist for an ultrasound to find out the reason.
