What cream would you advise to get rid of dark marks?

A:The answer to your question is no (not atleast in 1 week), though I don't know which hyperpigmentation are you referring to (eg. melasma, post-inflammatory etc.) Hydrocortisone alone isn't so effective as it is in combination with creams containing hydroquinone to enhance the depigmenting effect. It can also be combined with creams containing tretinoin, glycolic acid and with newer agents like azelaic acid and kojic acid. Sometimes any one of these creams are combined with a sunscreen, especially in the case of melasma (facial hyperpigmentation especially in ladies during/after pregnancy), to get the optimal effect.
