Q: I was suffering from viral keratitis in my right eye which is now cured but I have developed corneal oedema. The medical specialist has prescribed the following medicines for this: 1. Prednisolone 2. Hypersol-5 3. Betnesol-N 4. Prednisolone 5. Ranitidine 6. Digene 7. Vitamin-B complex I had deep haziness due to viral keratitis which is still persisting for the past 20 days despite the disease being cured. Please advise.
A:Viral keratitis can affect the superficial layers causing ulcer (infective) or deep oedema (recurrent allergic) or both. It appears you have corneal oedema which can take few weeks to months to resolve or it may leave permanant oededma. You may require longer treatment so follow your doctors advice.
