What can cause bleeding in the eyes?

Dr Mahipal S. Sachdev

New Delhi

Q: Internal bleeding takes place once in 2-3 months in either of the eyes without any injury or provocation. It is neither associated with pain or lack of vision. What could be the reason and the remedy?

A:There is possibly some abnormal neovascularisation which is friable and tends to bleed. You need a fundus flourescein angiography followed by definitive treatment. Consult a retina specialist.
