Q: What are the risk factors for a man who undergoes vasectomy operation at the age of 42 years? What are the preventive steps to be taken to avoid prostate cancer?
A:There is no evidence of any additional risk on account of vasectomy. Yes, there was one report in 90s, which did find some correlation. Subsequently, others and our own study (ICMR) did not find any correlation.
