What are the reasons for toe pain?

Q: I am suffering from toe pain since the last six months. It was caused due to taking epileptic tablets for many years. What is the remedy? Is it curable? I was an epileptic patient and had Eptoin 100 mg twice a day.

A:Eptoin is not known to cause toe pain. Toe pain is commonly caused by two conditions: osteoarthritis and gout. In order to find out the cause of your toe pain, some tests will be needed. It would be best to consult with a physician or a rheumatologist.
