Q: I have narrow nasal passages, what are the consequences of this? How can this be cured?

A:If your nasal passages were indeed narrow, you would experience some difficulty in breathing through your nose. If you do have such a symptom, it would be appropriate to consult an ENT surgeon. Narrow nasal passages may either be the result of swellings in the lining of the nose or a crooked septum (partition wall within the nose). The treatment for each of these is different. If you do not have difficulty breathing through your nose, it is likely that your nasal passages are of adequate size and you would not require any treatment.
