Q: My father has a triple vessel block. There is 80% block in LMCA, 70% block in LT circumflex, LAD and RCA. Is there a medical management? What are the chances of restenosis after CABG?
A:CABG (Coronary artery bypass grafting) is superior to medical management in this setting. The chance of reblockage after CABG is about 10% in ten years for arterial grafts and 50% in 10 years for venous grafts.
