Till what age can a woman conceive?

Q: Please tell me till what age can a woman conceive? I am 44 years old and still single due to family responsibilities and want to get married and have children? Is it possible?

A:Generally speaking, the probability of getting pregnant decreases with increasing age especially after 35. After the age of 35, the incidence of genetic abnormalities also goes up. All that said, we all know of people who have had children at an older age. A few questions which are relevant: are you still having regular periods? What age did your mother have her menopause?If your really want to try to have biological children, I would suggest sooner the better. I would also strongly recommend considering adoption as a way to have a child.
