Q: My T3 is 1.21 ng/ml, T4 8.00 mcg/dl and TSH 5.48 micro IU/ml which has been detected a month back. I want to know whether I should take allopathic medicine or homeopathy and whether it will improve or not. Due to this my prolactin level is high (33.60 ng/ml) and I am not able to conceive. Please suggest me what should I do?
A:Yours is a case of subclinical hypothyroidism and higher prolactin levels occur in hypothyroidism. You should take only allopathic drugs. In Homeopathy there are no drugs for these specifically. Avoid Homeopathy or iodine preparations. Your fertility may be restored with replacement of thyroxine and consult the nearest endocrinologist for that.
