Should children eat from their own lunch box at school?

Q: My son is 2 and half years old and going to a play school. I give him lunch everyday. I think every child should have his own lunch, but the teacher feeds the children herself without seeing whose lunch box is it is. She says come Sunny take a bite, then another bite is taken by another child and so on. Is this the right way to feed a child? I feel every child should be given his own lunch box. The sharing habit can be taught later also. Please help.
A:I think children should eat their own lunch, if they are required to bring it. If the school supplies lunch, then they could all have the lunch, but from their own plates and with their own spoons. Mothers would know what and how much to pack for their own child. Mixing them up is something I would not advocate. But you will have to discuss the matter tactfully with the teacher and arrive at some understanding. I agree with you that sharing can and will come later.
