Pregnancy - IUGR

Q: What is IUGA, with 3 weeks to go from the date of delivery? What are the precautionary measures to be taken in such a situation?

A:Intead of IUGA it should be IUGR. IUGR means intrauterine growth restriction. When baby's growth lags behind by 4 wks then it is IUGR. If dates are sure then 37 weeks baby (as in your case) is mature enough to be delivered in case of severe IUGR. In mild & moderate IUGR frequent antenatal monitoring is required like daily fetal movement count, NST on alternate days & weekly BPS by ultrasound and accordingly delivery should be planned.
