Pregnancy - intra-uterine insemination

Q: I wish to know the procedure of intra-uterine insemination, cost of treatment and duration of stay of patient in hospital.

A:In Intra-uterine insemination, husband"s semen is washed and put inside the uterus at the time of ovulation and the total cost including sonography will be around Rs. 3,000-4,000. There is no need of stay in the hospital, after half an hour the patient can go home.
