Is Trimune helpful in curing HIV infection?

Q: I am an HIV patient. I am taking Trimune 30 mg twice daily. Is there any chance of getting cured with this medicine? Or do I need a vaccine for protection? At what stage have medicine trials for AIDS reached?

A:As yet there are no medicines that can cure HIV infection. Available drugs only suppress the virus. Stopping treatment with anti-retrovirals will only make the virus bounce back. No vaccines are yet available.
