Q: I am a 36 years old man sexually attracted towards men. Unfortunately, due to parents' compulsion I got married and our sex life was a disaster, I did not get erection at all. After four years we somehow had a baby boy. But my problem continues. I don't have any kind of attraction or erection and my penis size is very small. Is there any treatment for this? Can this be cured by means of some counseling or hormonal treatment? I get suicidal feelings and I am taking anti-depressants.

A:Homosexuality is not a disease that can be cured, and especially not by marriage. This is a dangerous misconception that prevails in India. As a result of this erroneous belief, thousands of homosexual men and women (lesbians) are forced into arranged relationships that only make matters more complicated and worse. Counseling, therapy and hormones will not help you. You need to admit to yourself honestly and boldly that you are a homosexual, examine options, and take definitive action. Running from pillar to post (includes help lines and experts) will not help you.
