Is there a problem with my daughter's eyes?

Q: I have a 4 years old daughter. One of her eyes is full of tears while she watches TV. Is this because she is moved and carried away by the things she sees on screen? Is it a problem? Will it get better as time passes? Please suggest.

A:You have noted this right in time. Whether or not water comes, every child needs a thorough eye exam at the age of 3 or at least 4 years. Many diseases and even blindness can be prevented. Is the watering coming only while seeing TV or even other times like exposure to wind, sun, reading etc? There are many reasons for water to come, e.g.. power in one eye, strain, infection, allergy, lid and sac problem, etc. Don't neglect this. Get a consultation and find out the reason.
