Is stem cell therapy available for Ducchene Muscular Dystrophy?

Q: My 4-years-old grand son has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I understand stem cells is the treatment for it. Kindly guide me on this issue. Where can I get the treatment.

A:Stem cell therapy for Ducchene Muscular Dystrophy is in the experimental stage. It is not yet approved for the treatment of DMD. The results of embroyonic stem cell therapy have not been encouraging yet.
