Q: Is there any possibility of retinal transplantation in the near future, which could help regain full sight?
A:As on this date, Retinal transplantation is not possible. Research is being done in several directions. One is Stem cell transplantation, which is a big failure as of now with retina. The other is implantation of biocompatable chip. Some results are obtained with it, but it needs a lot of improvement in everything to achieve some results, & it may take many years to achieve & implant even a crudest chip. A blind person with the present chip is just seeing some light in the darkness. Going deep like this, you realise how great is God, who has thought of billions of finest details when he created humanity.
