Q: I have a problem of neurofibroma on my skin. It has almost covered my skin with small scales and is growing inch by inch every year. I know that there is no treatment for this. My father also had the same probelm and I have got this from him. I have a 4-year-old daughter. Will she also get this disease? How can we prevent her from getting this? What is the treatment for this?

A:Neurofibroma is a genetic disorder which is inherited as autosomal dominant pattern which means 50% children can get it so it is not necessasary that your child will get it especially when your wife is not a carrier - you also can't do much to avoid this.
