Q: Can amputated limbs be restored by fixing the limbs of a dead person of the same age?
A:For transplant purposes, one may harvest limbs, like other organs, from brain-dead persons under carefully controlled conditions. However, limb transplant is among the most difficult of transplants, and has very high failure rates.
