Q: I got married 2.9 years back. An year back I did not have my periods for 6 months, so I had undergone laparotomy. Then the first period came some 5 months back after taking medicines as per the doctor. Then again my periods delayed and I got it only after 2 months after taking the tablet again. Now again it is delaying. I want to know the reason for this delay?

A:Nobody does a laparotomy for delayed periods. You have mentioned you had an ovarian cyst. I guess that must have been removed during the laparotomy. You have to give us the laparotomy findings and the pathology report of the cyst and whether or not:(i) the whole of the ovary was removed or just the cyst and (ii) what was the other looking like at laparotomy and (iii) was a biopsy taken from the other ovary and what was the pathology report. Based on this information I can answer your question.
