Is it safe to consume Larpose during pregnancy?

Q: I have completed 6 months of pregnancy. During the 5 month my doctor observed a contracted uterus. She prescribed me Duvadilon thrice a day and Larpose 2mg for uterus relaxation. Can Larpose be consumed during pregnancy?

A:Larpose is the brand name of a medicine called lorazepam. It is not permitted to be used during any stage of pregnancy. It crosses the placenta and reaches the fetus.
